Warehouse Fire...

ClassicBuffalo.com Steelton - Hamburg detectives are trying to figure out how a fire started at the Carquest warehouse at the Ravenwood North Industrial Park off Jeffrey Boulevard. At 5am this morning two large explosions woke neighborhood residents. Emergency vehicles arrived quickly on the scene, the situation was put under control and there was no evacuation of residents. The smoke billowed for about an hour and a southeast wind blew it away from the homes. Neighbors have complained in the past about the unloading of vehicles at the business so early in the morning. Besides being a noise nuisance, it may be a code violation. Attempts to find out have gone unanswered, as the warehouse contains potentially flammable paints, oils and other automotive fluids. The toxic smoke and fire was quickly doused by the action of our brave local firefighters who contained the flames and avoided a potential disaster. This time...
